FAMILY DAY
11am–4pm
See gallery ticket prices / Under 18s free
Explore, create and play your way around the gallery this May half-term.
The gallery will be full of creative activities and crafting stations, inspired by our new exhibitions, Undersea and The Sun Feeds the Wind.
In the studio, there will be a drop-in workshop led by local artist Charlotte Hailey Watts (she/her). Make mythical sea creatures in clay, inspired by artworks in our exhibition and wider sea folklore from around the world.
Families will be inspired to delve into their imaginations and create their own fantastic mythical and hybrid beasts from air dry clay, guided by an experienced artist and ceramicist.
Children go free and there’s no need to book – just turn up and enjoy!
This event is part of The Sun Feeds the Wind public programme, made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Using money raised by National Lottery players, The National Lottery Heritage Fund supports projects that connect people and communities with the UK’s heritage.
