Wild Escape: Beneath the surface

Join us on Earth Day with free family art activities celebrating our amazing marine bio-diversity.

12 - 4pm
Free, no booking required

Visit Hastings Contemporary, nestled amongst the fishing huts by Hastings Beach, and take part in artist led activities in and around the gallery. Learn about our amazing marine bio-diversity such as the common whelk that gifts its shell to hermit crabs or the slipper limpet which can change gender from male to female. Consider what you can do to protect our sea shore.

Be part of The Wild Escape, a nationwide celebration of UK nature inspired by the wildlife found in museum and galleries. The Wild Escape is made possible with support from Arts Council England’s National Lottery Project Grants, with additional support from Bloomberg Philanthropies, Kusuma Trust, Foyle Foundation and a group of generous individuals and trusts.
