Explore how Homer’s epic poem is manifested in art with discussion, close reading and a guided tour, led by duty manager Simon Hobson.
Simon will lead a lively round table discussion around The Odyssey and its manifestations in art, prompted by a range of written and illustrative material, as well as group activities. There will also be a guided tour, study and discussion of our open exhibition Odyssey, and what new interpretations we can glean from artist’s responses.
After 30 years spent abroad working in the field of art consultancy, translation and interpretation, Simon Hobson now works as part of the front of house team at Hastings Contemporary as well as leading exhibition tours.
No experience is necessary, all materials and refreshments will be provided.
