BACK TO OURS
after hours at hastings contemporary
7pm–10pm
£30 / £25 members
Join us after hours for a genre-defying night of music and performance.
Mercury-nominated musician Thomas White will fill the gallery with expansive chamber pop. His past projects include White Magic For Lovers, Brakes and The Electric Soft Parade, and he is currently drumming with experimental rock group Sea Power and London duo The Waeve.
Artist and musician Richard Phoenix will take to the stage with Jessica Ashman, Tanya Auclair, Shepherd Manyika, Robyn Rocket and Ned Smith for an improvised musical conversation spanning percussion, brass, electronics, tape and handmade instruments.
Jazz violinist Sam Brown will build sound with acoustic violin and live looping technology.
Plus creative fun around the gallery. Our studio will become a tattoo parlour with resident tattoo artists tatbain and twocabz offering a series of flash tattoos. Soak up our exhibitions, try heat-press printmaking, and head upstairs to coquina for drinks and tapas.
Tickets include one drink. This event is for over 18s only. Flash tattoos are not included in the ticket price, payment should be made directly to the tattoo artist. All sales are final. We are unable to offer refunds.
