Virtual Drink & Draw: Love Colour
Announcing our new virtual Drink & Draws, an easygoing make and meet for the lockdown era. These are an online take on our hugely popular creative workshop series curated by artist and fine art jeweller Jane Runchman.
Every Saturday evening come join us online and have fun making and exploring the visual arts using materials we already have around the house. Enjoy a glass or whatever you fancy and catch up on some much need social interaction with others. The sessions are relaxed and everyone is welcome, “artists” and “non-artists” alike.
On this workshop – LOVE COLOUR – we’re going back to basics. You may be living at a slower pace of life since lockdown and noticing more at home and on your walks/exercise in your neighbourhood. We’ll have fun playing with colour this week, working from cues in our environment and taking inspiration from the chromatically rich work of Paul Klee.
Bring your favourite colours, pencils, pens, paints, crayons, magazines, coloured papers, wrapping paper, fabric, food colouring, beetroot, turmeric anything and everything you can lay your hands on at home to create colour. You’ll need scissors, glue and paper too. Oh, and also a loo roll centre!
All workshops happen via Zoom, so you will need access to the internet and a computer. Participants will also have the opportunity to have images of their work from the session shared on Hastings Contemporary’s website and social media channels.
