MEMBERSHIP FAQs – GALLERY CLOSURE

You may have questions about how our closure will affect your Hasting Contemporary membership. Here are the answers to the questions we think you may be asking!

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY MEMBERSHIP DURING THE CLOSURE?
We will extend your membership by the length of time the gallery has been closed or by three months, whichever is the longer. When we reopen your membership will continue as before.

While we are closed you will continue to receive membership newsletters.
Thank you for being part of Hastings Contemporary – your support is now more crucial than ever.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I BECOME A MEMBER DURING THE CLOSURE?
If you join during the closure period, your gallery benefits will start when Hastings Contemporary reopens. In the meantime you will also receive membership newsletters.

It may seem counter-intuitive to join when we’re closed, but becoming a member is a great way to offer your support to Hastings Contemporary at this difficult time, with all the benefits of membership to look forward to when the gallery reopens. WHAT HAPPENS IF I USUALLY PAY FOR MY MEMBERSHIP VIA DIRECT DEBIT?
Direct debits due while we are closed will leave your account as normal. We will ensure you still receive your full membership benefits by extending your membership by the length of the closure or by three months, whichever is the longer. When the gallery reopens we will adjust your future direct debit payment dates accordingly.

We will contact you before we make any changes to your direct debit payments.

MY RENEWAL PAYMENT HAS BEEN TAKEN BUT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL PACK.
During our period of closure we cannot send out physical post but you will continue to receive membership newsletters via email.

We are keeping a record of member renewals and we will contact you once the gallery reopens, extending your membership by the length of time the gallery has been closed or by three months, whichever is the longer.

I HAVE POSTED MY RENEWAL PAYMENT BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM YOU.
Because of restricted staff movements, it may not be possible for us to process renewals sent by post while we are closed. Rest assured that as soon as we reopen we will process your renewal, extending your membership by the length of the closure or by three months, whichever is the longer.
