The third in our series of art and mindfulness resources.
You can do this breathing exercise standing up or sitting down or even lying in bed. If you can only move your arms a little, imagine the motion of an elephant’s trunk as you take your breaths. That will help you get a nice rhythm.
One thing that we always say at the gallery when we’re working with a group is “you’re banned from saying ‘I can’t draw’ or ‘this doesn’t look good, can I rub it out?'” We believe that everyone is an artist, so whatever you draw is a piece of art that deserves to be celebrated.
